Cheshire College – South & West welcomed large numbers as they opened their doors to the public to celebrate Community Fun Day.
Taking place on their Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Chester Campuses on Saturday 21st May, the College provided a range of free activities and games for the local communities to get stuck in with and enjoy throughout the day, including a bouncy castle, face painting, basketball shootout, giant games, family photography portraits, a BBQ provided by the College’s Hospitality staff and learners, and much more.
Open to families and friends of all ages, the day allows the communities to visit the Campuses in an informal setting, explore the various course offerings and job opportunities at the College as well as experiencing the interactive games and activities that are available across the College’s different departments.
This event is an annual tradition for the College and this year marked its return following the pandemic.
Helen Nellist, Deputy Principal of Cheshire College, said of the event: “The day was a huge success! The Community Fun day is a great opportunity for us to thank staff and their families for their continuous support, whilst providing the local community with a closer look at what we have to offer here at Cheshire College in a relaxed atmosphere that everyone can enjoy.
“We have always received a tremendous amount of support throughout Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Chester so it’s wonderful to be able to use this event to give something back and thank them for all of their support over the years.”
