Frequently asked questions

If you want to study a full time course, you need a Student Route Visa before travelling to the UK.

This will involve undertaking an UKVI English Test and acquiring a CAS Visa.

Please send a message to international@ccsw.ac.uk to ask about the costs of any specific course. Our International Team will provide you with all the answers you need as quickly as possible.

If you are studying A Levels full time, then you’re required to pick 3 A Levels.

If you are interested in studying on the Exchange/Study Abroad Programme, then you’re required to pick 4 A Levels so that you can have a full timetable.

Due to Visa requirements, international students can only undertake Level 3 BTEC courses.

Yes, the International Team would be happy to help you and will provide the paperwork you need.

To study at Cheshire College, you will need to be able to speak, write and study in English.

Different courses have different English language requirements, based on the length and structure of the course.

All applicants will need to undertake an UKVI approved English Language Exam. For example, the UKVI IELTS exam, and achieve 5.5/6.0 to obtain a Visa.

Courses start at the beginning of September.

We encourage all students wishing to study at Cheshire College to apply as early as possible so that you secure your place on your chosen course, especially for our popular A level subjects. If you apply for a level 3 study programme and receive an offer, it’s important that you accept your place and pay the college fees deposit by the 31st March.

You could be eligible for financial support and the International Team will be able to provide more information about this if you send them a message at international@ccsw.ac.uk.

A Levels are only delivered at our Crewe Campus. However, it is possible to live in Chester and study at Crewe.You can travel by bus or train to Crewe. Please speak to the International Team at international@ccsw.ac.uk for more information and support regarding bus or train travel.

We don’t offer scholarships for our international students.However, we do offer bursaries for students who pay early.
