Foundation Award in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering

This is a bridging course for those who have not been in education for some time and are currently working in the industry who wish to progress to university-level courses or progress in their careers to management level positions. The course is a blend of theoretical and practical elements of engineering such as maths, science, electrical and mechanical principles, algebra, trigonometry and geometry, 2D and 3D CAD, welding and bench fitting processes. The Level 1 Awards in Introductory Welding Skills are ideal if you are new to the welding industry and want to gain knowledge and experience in welding work. We offer courses in Tungsten Inert Gas, Metal Inert Gas and Manual Metal Arc and each course will cover welding techniques, welding joints and health and safety relating to equipment and welding processes. Progression opportunities are available on welding courses at Levels 2 and 3 at the College.
