Why choose a career in Hospitality & Catering

Whether you want to work in a restaurant kitchen, front-of-house, or progress to managing a hotel of your own, our Hospitality and Catering courses lead to many exciting opportunities as you gain the skills and qualifications to start your career, or progress to University.

Throughout your studies, you’ll have access to our modern commercial kitchens including our on-site AA Rosette standard Academy Restaurants, where you will learn to prepare exquisite culinary creations. We also have hospitality, food, and beverage service courses where you can learn about the finer details of service in our commercially-run, fine dining restaurants.

You will also have the opportunity to provide catering at large corporate events inside and outside of Cheshire College, helping you build your experience and increase your employability.

Professional Cookery (Preparation & Cooking) C&G Diploma Level 3

“As part of the course, I’ve taken part in the UK WorldSkills competitions and, after winning silver at the UK competition, I will be going to Shanghai to represent the UK at the WorldSkills International global final. I am now working as a Chef at a gastropub in Nantwich but I hope to further my career by working in a Michelin Star restaurant and eventually run my own restaurant. I’ve really enjoyed all my courses. To say we have learned a lot is an understatement!”
