How to apply

The Course

If you have an interest in photography or if you are thinking about becoming a photographer, then this is a great course for you!

At our Chester Campus, you will gain an understanding of the basic digital photographic processes. You will practice your skills by using a digital camera to capture creative images, gaining confidence with compisition and the different features of the camera. You will then learn how to manipulate your images.

At our Crewe Campus, your will learn about black and white film photography. You will be introduced to the fundamentals of shooting analogue photography, refresh any experience you may have had in a darkroom and gain skills in film processing and darkroom printing techniques. From loading film to developing negatives, you’ll delve into different aspects of the photographic process, honing your skills to capture and print analogue images in our black and white darkroom.

There are no entry requirements, although an interest in photography would be an advantage.
You could progress to the Level 2 Photography course at the College or enrol on one of our other Level 1 courses.
