How to apply

The Course

If you are looking for an exciting career in the film and television industry, then this is the course for you!

You will gain the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to achieve high performance in the international film and television environment. This course will also provide you with the core skills required for a range of careers in film and television, specifically those related to management and operations, developing your understanding of the major impact that new digital technologies have on the film and television environment and giving insight into international business operations and the opportunities and challenges presented by a global marketplace.

You will gain a wide range of film and television knowledge linked to practical skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. You will also aquire valuable transferable skills, such as communication, teamwork, research and analysis, which are highly valued in higher education and in the workplace.

On successful completion of the Level 4 course, you could progress to the Level 5 Higher National Diploma at the College.

We welcome an application profile that meets one of the following:

  • A BTEC Level 3 qualification in media
  • A GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or adequate performance in more than one GCE subject
  • Other related Level 3 qualifications
  • An Access to Higher Education Diploma awarded by an approved further education institution
  • Related work experience as determined at interview with the Course Team Leader
  • An international equivalent of the above

and:

  • GCSE grades A* to C ( 9 to 4) in maths and English

Successful candidates may be able to move on to the HND Film and Television at the College then progress to a top up degree. You could also gain employment in a wide range of roles in the film and television sector.
