The Course

Since the pandemic, behavioural issues and referrals to Child Adolescent Mental Health Services, are at an all-time high. Therapeutic parenting has a growing evidence base for supporting children with conduct disorder, behavior that challenges, and neurodivergence. In this introductory course, parents and care givers will be introduced to the concept of therapeutic parenting, anatomy of the brain and neuropsychology, the importance of play, and understanding behavior as a communication tool. This course is a must for anyone who has children or provides care in a professional or voluntary capacity to children, who wants to learn more about supporting children to thrive.
