How to apply

The Course

This Level 3 Extended Diploma offers a comprehensive introduction to advanced manufacturing engineering. It provides a strong foundation in core engineering principles while allowing students to develop specialist technical skills aligned with industry needs. The programme is structured to support progression into employment, higher apprenticeships, or further academic study.

Throughout the course, you will explore subjects such as mechanical and electrical engineering, engineering mathematics, materials science, and manufacturing processes. In addition to technical units, the course supports the development of transferable skills including problem-solving, teamwork, and communication. This makes it a valuable option whether you aim to start your career in the sector or apply to university.

Recognised by employers and higher education institutions, the qualification is suitable for those looking to progress into roles in design, production or maintenance, as well as those planning to study engineering at degree level.
